Speaking in Nairobi before heading to Mombasa on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Junet said the event will gather ODM founding members for a special founders’ dinner, marking two decades since the party’s establishment.
“We are going to have His Excellency, the President, at the dinner. We are going to have Musalia Mudavadi and former Pentagon members. We are also hoping Uhuru Kenyatta will attend if available,” Junet stated.
The anniversary celebration, scheduled in Mombasa, underscores the region’s significance as one of ODM’s most loyal political strongholds since the introduction of devolution.
Junet highlighted that the choice of location reflects the party’s broad support across Kenya, from the Indian Ocean coastline to the lake region, Northeastern Kenya, and Nairobi.
Junet explained that the celebrations are open to all Kenyans but are primarily meant for ODM members to reflect on the party’s 20-year journey.
