Wiper Party Welcomes New Aspirants From Across Kenya Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Wiper Patriotic Front Party (WPF) headquarters was a hive of activity on Wednesday as the party received a fresh wave of political aspirants from across the country ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, accompanied by Secretary General Senator Shakila Abdalla and Executive Director Benson Milai, presided over the ceremony, saying the new entrants share Wiper’s vision for a just, transparent, and united Kenya.

Kalonzo praised the aspirants for stepping forward, saying they were joining a political movement committed to national renewal.

“These leaders are stepping forward with courage and conviction to join our patriotic front of national renewal,” he said in a statement shared on X.

Among them was former Kiambu County Speaker Stephen Ndichu, whose remarks, according to Kalonzo, captured the national mood.

“He spoke candidly about the need for leadership that can check the system, confront corruption without fear, and serve every Kenyan without prejudice,” Kalonzo added.

The Wiper leader assured all aspirants of a transparent nomination process.

“We will uphold a free, fair, and competitive nomination process. We are building a party rooted in integrity and service, and your trust strengthens that foundation,” he stated.

Kalonzo reiterated that Wiper is positioning itself to form the next government in 2027.

“The Wiper Patriotic Front is ready to be the anchor of the Government-in-Waiting. Together, we will restore dignity to our politics and deliver a Kenya where every citizen can believe in their nation once again.”

The development comes a day after Kalonzo cautioned the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) against what he termed increasing vulnerability to Executive influence.

Speaking in Murang’a on Tuesday during the burial of the late Herbert Kariithi Macharia—alongside fellow United Opposition principals Rigathi Gachagua and Eugene Wamalwa—Kalonzo accused the Commission of enabling malpractices witnessed in the November 27 by-elections.

He urged the IEBC to ensure credibility as the country approaches the 2027 polls.
